Specialty cake baker Amy Noelle’s amazing career began with a sugar flower design class she took one summer on break from her teaching job. Cake decorating became her passion, culminating in the opening of the Sugar Flower Cake Shop in NYC, which makes wedding and special occasion cakes using organic, local, sustainable and fair-trade ingredients. Success quickly followed, and Amy soon found herself the go-to expert on wedding cakes and sugar flowers for Martha Stewart Weddings and The New York Times. Her cakes have been featured on The Knot, the Style Network, New York magazine, and in virtually every major bridal magazine. But her true validation came during an outdoor wedding, when a honeybee kept trying to land on and pollinate one of her sugar flowers!
